About the Program
A four-day, three-night extended orientation for incoming TCNJ students (traditional first-years and new transfers) that focuses on preparing first-generation college students for their transition into the college. Sessions will help participants feel more confident about navigating some of the “unknowns” and provide an opportunity to connect with other first-gen students.
TCNJ defines a first-generation college student as someone whose immediate parents/guardians did not attend a four-year college or university in the U.S.
Summer 2024
Dates: Sunday, August 18, 2024 through Wednesday, August 21, 2024
Students living on-campus will move into their residence hall on Sunday, August 18th. All participants will immediately roll into Welcome Week activities (which run Thursday, August 22nd – Monday, August 26th). The first day of class is Tuesday, August 27th.
